WELCOME
Welcome to my new website. I am excited to enter into a new adventure on the internet. It seems like everyone I know has jumped into this arena. I have chosen a name for this site based on a passage found in 1Peter1:3-9. "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! According to his great mercy, he has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to an inheritance that is imperishable, undefiled, and unfading, kept in heaven for you, who by God's power are being guarded through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time. In this you rejoice, though now for a little while, if necessary, you have been grieved by various trials, so that the tested genuineness of your faith--more precious than gold that perishes though it is tested by fire--may be found to result in praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ. Though you have not seen him, you love him. Though you do not now see him, you believe in him and rejoice with joy that is inexpressible and filled with glory, obtaining the outcome of your faith, the salvation of your souls." esv It's because of a living hope that I take the view points that are expressed throughout this site. It is the testing of my faith that is expressed in the various blogs. "Hope for Today" are writings concerning a general focus on events or circumstances. These are random in nature and cover a very broad spectrum. The audience I am trying to ultimately appeal to are the four children. I want them to see my daily thought life. Wouldn't you love to be able to read what was going through the mind of your dad or mom throughout their life? Some day they might be curious as well. "More precious than gold" is more focused than the other blog. These writings are reflections on the blessings of raising a child with special needs. Our household consist of a child who was born with FASD. This blog gives a glimps into what this means. Hopefully all will find some value and encouragement here.
